U2 était de retour à Paris pour les 2 concerts annulés suite aux attentats terroristes du 13 novembre. Ces concerts étaient aussi, les derniers de leur tournée mondiale Innocence + Experience tour 2015.
J’ai eu la chance d’assister à la soirée de dimanche et c’était … comment dire…stupéfiant…
Bien sûr, nous connaissons tous la grosse machine U2, bien huilée, le méga show avec une immense scène, l’avalanche des images sur écran géant, les lumières, la sono impeccable, la perfection… nous sommes aussi habitués aux messages de paix, d’amour et de fraternité et tout était là…
La vérité est que lors des derniers tournées, je me suis sentie un peu égarée…juste spectateur de cette folie grandiose, perdue devant tous ces shows trop parfaits.
Mais dimanche, ce n’était pas le cas, c’était spécial. Malgré ma place un peu éloignée, au balcon, dimanche, j’étais là, sur scène, avec eux, impliquée et concernée, de début jusqu’à la fin, corps et âme à chaque seconde. Loin mais si près…
Parce que cette fois, c’était un concert chargé émotion, bouleversant. C’était notre concert, celui de Parisiens aux coeurs brises, un hommage à Paris et aux victimes que nous n’allons jamais oublier.
« Nous sommes tous Parisiens, les monde est Parisien. Si vous aimez la Liberté, Paris est votre ville » a dit Bono.
Moments forts du concert? TOUT le concert a été un moment fort, hors norme, absolument inoubliable, qui va rester gravé dans mon coeur à jamais.
One chanté avec le public,The Fly, Until the end of the world, Mysterious ways, With or Without you, Where the streets have no name, Pride, Every breaking Wave chanté avec The Edge au piano, Raised by Wolves, Elevation … Et aussi les jolies dédicaces de Bono à sa mère avec Iris et à sa femme avec Song for Someone.
Et il ya eu, Sunday, Bloody Sunday avec la projection des portraits des victimes de la guerre en Irlande, Bullets in the Blue Sky sur fond de ruines à Kobané, Syrie.Oui, U2 sont toujours aussi engagés pour la Paix et l’Amour.
Et il ya eu, Ne me quitte pas de Jacques Brel à cappella, hommage émouvant aux victimes des attentats accompagnée par la projection des leur noms sur fond de drapeau français.
Et il ya eu Beautiful Day avec de superbes images de Paris.
Et il y a eu Patti Smith, la surprise de la fin, pour chanter ensemble People have the Power. Sublime!
Presque 40 ans de carrière, les 4 acolytes sont toujours là, aussi complices et fabuleux que d’habitude.
Et oui, moi, je suis restée sans voix…Respect Messieurs!

U2 were back in Paris for 2 concerts cancelled following the terrorist attacks from 13th of November.
These concerts were also, the last ones of their Innocence+Experience world tour 2015.
On my side, I had the chance to attend the Sunday evening show and it was… how to say… absolutely stunning…
Of course, we all know the big machine U2, well oiled, the mega show with a huge stage, the avalanche of images on the giant screen, the lights, the impeccable sound, the perfection…
We are also accustomed to peace, love and brotherhood messages … and everything was there…
The truth is that for the latest U2 tours, I felt a little bit away, abandoned…just watching this grandiose craziness, lost in front of all these flawless shows…
But Sunday, it was different, it was special …Despite my somewhat distant seat, on the balcony, Sunday I was there, on stage, with them, involved and concerned, from the beginning to the end, every second, body and soul. Far away but so close…
Because there was a concert full of emotion…It was our concert, Parisians with broken hearts, a tribute to Paris and to the innocent victims that we will never forget.
“We are all Parisians, the whole world is Paris. If you love Freedom, Paris is your city “… said Bono.
Highlights of the concert? -All show was highlighted, it was a solid, powerful, an unforgettable moment that will remain engraved in my heart forever.
One sung with the public, The Fly, Until the end of the world, Mysterious ways, With or Without you, Pride, Where the street have no name, Every breaking Wave sung with The Edge on piano, Raised by Wolves, Elevation…
There were also, pretty Bono’s dedications to his mother with Iris and to his wife with Song for Someone.
And there was Sunday, Bloody Sunday with the projection of portraits of the victims of the war in Ireland and Bullets in the Blue Sky on a background of ruins of Kobane, Syria. Yes, U2 are still engaged for the Peace and Love in the World.
And then there was, Ne me Quitte Pas de Jaques Brel à cappella, emotional tribute to the victims of the attacks, accompanied by the projection of their names on screen transformed in French Flag.
And there was Beautiful Day with superbe images of Paris.
And there was Patti Smith, the big surprise at the end, to sing together People have the Power.Wonderful moment.
Almost 40 years of career, the 4 Irish men are still there, complices and fabulous as usual.
And, me, I am speechless…Respect Gentlemen.
